2015: Institute for Systems Biology: Aesthetic Engineering
During 2015, as Visiting Artist at the Institute for Systems Biology, Ruffner interviewed the ISB senior faculty for her ‘Poetic Hybrids’ project at the Seattle Art Museum (and other venues.) Following those interviews in 2015, the ’Aesthetic Engineering’ bronze and glass sculptures were exhibited throughout ISB. This exhibit will continue through 2017.

Museum of Glass
A mixed-media installation which urges viewers to pause and contemplate art, life and creativity. Within six large gold frames, the steel elements include a heart, an arrow and a large chain. The sculptural forms range from spiritual to whimsical. Using metaphor and symbolism, Ruffner has created a glimpse into another world.
